When data originates in devices rather than people, you need a system that collects, transports and shows it: sensors in the field, gateways that carry data even where there is no internet, a platform that stores it and a dashboard that alerts when something deviates. We develop all of this ourselves, including the hardware where no standard device exists. In 2024 we developed our own IoT platform and built a complete LoRa-based IoT system in Sierra Leone, covering long distances with minimal energy use. For partners we also design printed circuit boards, firmware and prototypes of purpose-built devices.

    We define the quantities, frequency, locations and what happens on a deviation; the choice of sensors and network follows from that.

Frequently asked questions

Why LoRa rather than Wi-Fi or mobile networks?

LoRa sends small amounts of data over several kilometres with such low power that a battery sensor runs for years, and it needs no mobile subscription. For large data volumes or video, Wi-Fi or mobile networks are better; we choose by use case.

Does it work where there is no internet?

Yes. The gateway collects data locally and sends it over a mobile or satellite link when one is available; that is how we built the system in Sierra Leone, where infrastructure is often absent.

Can we use existing sensors and devices?

Usually yes: the platform accepts standard protocols (LoRaWAN, MQTT, Modbus, OPC UA), and for older devices we develop an adapter. Before buying new ones we always check what you already have.

What about IoT device security?

Devices use encrypted communication and their own keys, updates are signed, and the IoT network is separated from the business network. Our Red team also performs IoT penetration tests, so we know where the typical weak points are.

Do you also build a device that is not on the market?

Yes. We design the schematic and circuit board, select components, write the firmware and produce a prototype run; volume production is organised with partners. That is how we developed our own devices for our IoT platform.

How long does a pilot take and what does it cost?

A pilot with a few sensors and one gateway takes four to six weeks and has a fixed price you know in advance. If you go ahead with the roll-out, the pilot equipment stays part of the system, so the money is not lost.
